The Orange Version of Jurifamille is coming soon !

We are pleased to announce that a new version of Jurifamille will be launched on July 1st, 2024.

In addition to a new appearance, this new version (called Orange) of Jurifamille will benefit from the addition of several improvements that will be integrated progressively, such as:

• A tool to take into account the financial contribution of adult children;
• A tool for the indexation/renegotiation of existing support agreements;
• A custody calendar tool;
• Jurisprudential annotations;
• Federal tables for child support;
• A read-only mode oriented for clients (to allow sharing of proposals and scenarios with your clients);
• A tool to facilitate calculation scenarios based for recomposed families.

New Pricing and User Rules

To enhance the usability and experience for all users, we are introducing a new pricing policy, whereby every user on the Orange version is required to have their own licensed access.

This means the free assistant access will no longer be available in the Orange version, but also means that all users will be able to share their case files with the other members of their group license.

Also, please note that while we prepare for the launch of the new Orange version, user registrations are suspended and will resume on July 1st, 2024.

For greater flexibility in the management of group licenses, additional accesses purchased at a later time than the initial group license will now be charged based on the number of months remaining on the group license. For example, an access purchased 6 months after the group licence was purchased will only be billed for the remaining 6 months.

A group license purchase will require proof that at least one of the users is either:

1. Duly registered lawyer with Barreau du Québec, in order to benefit from the lawyer license pricing. As was always the case, the member number will need to be provided as proof;
2. Accredited family mediator, in which case proof of accreditation as emitted by your professional order will have to be provided;
3. Other types of users, after analysis of the use case.

Please note that group licenses can only be purchased for members of a duly constituted organisation. It is not permitted to create a group licence unless all the members of the group belong to the same legal entity.

For Existing Users, Starting July 1st 2024

For our existing clients, we will continue to offer the current Jurifamille version (which will be called the Blue version from now on) with the same terms and conditions that are currently in force.

The Blue version will continue to be updated for fiscal rules and support determination tables for the years to come, although no new software features will be added to that version.

This means that all existing Jurifamille users (registered before June 3rd 2024) , will benefit from the same terms and conditions than those they purchased with the latest license. They will also be able to renew their licenses on the Blue version, according to existing annual prices (which will be indexed annually to account for inflation).

Starting June 3rd, no new user will be able to register on the Blue version. Therefore, if a group wants to add new users, they will have to transfer the whole group on the new Orange version.

In this regard, we will offer a migration tool to allow to easily transfer an account to the Orange version. Such a transfer can be done at any time and will also preserve the existing licenses until their expiration. Please note that transfers from the Blue to the Orange version will be irreversible.
